Corey played his dad's silver Bach trumpet while participating in the Tri State Middle School Honors Band at Morehead State University Saturday November 22, 2003. Rehearsals began on Saturday morning at 9:00 am lasting all day. The band conducted by Dr. Jay Gilbert of Doane College in Crete, Nebraska performed for the public in concert at 6:30 pm Saturday evening. They performed; Two Fanfares - by Jay W. Gilbert, Shenandoah - by Robert Sheldon, and Nottingham Castle - by Larry Daehn.
